Charles University in Prague Student Chapter of SPIE and OSA present the evaluation of the competition

SPIE/OSA | Best Master Student Paper Award 2015
            SPIE/OSA | Nejlepší článek studenta magisterského programu

The very first year of the comepetition announced for the academic year 2014/2015 has its winners. The choice of the best authors was especially complicated as all of the 18 contributed works (9 of them to the main section Best Paper and 9 of them to the secondary section Best Poster) reached very high professional level. This is why the organizational committee decided to present also three certificates of merit besides the two main awards to emphasize that all of them obtained similarly high evaluation.

The honored students in the section Best Paper:

Best Student Paper Award 2015 is presented to Mgr. Lukáš Beran for his paper Optical and magneto-optical studies of martensitic transformation in Ni-Mn-Ga magnetic shape memory alloys.

Certificates of merit are presented to Mgr. Michal Zanáška, Mgr. Jiří Kratochvíl and Mgr. Attila Bartha for their paper of extraordinar quality.

The honored student in the section Best Poster:

Best Student Poster Award 2015 is presented to Bc. Lukáš Ohnoutek for his poster Voltage controlled optical and magnetic properties in ferromagnetic nanostructures studied by optical spectroscopies.

We congratulate to all honored students and we kindly ask them to join the Award ceremony which will take place January 13, 2016 at 8:30 am at the occassion of the meeting of the Dean's Collegium. The Best Paper and Poster Awards will be also awarded 10 000 CZK and 5 000 CZK.

Alongside this announcement, we want to express our recognitions to all participiants whose works were all of high quality and represent a very notible success in the beginning of their scientific carrier.
